Jam A confection or conserve o fruit, made from boiling fruit with sugar to a certain consistency.

Jugged This means a brown stew of hare or some kind of game, cooked by placing the ingredients in a jar with just enough stock or sauce to cover and then stewing at a even temperature in a bain-marie or in the oven.
