Haddock Smoked or dried haddock.  The haddock is a fish resembling the cod but much smaller, measuring about twelve inches long and weighing no more than two or three pounds.

Ham This is the hind leg of pork when it is salted and cured or even smoked.

Honey Sweet juices collected from various flowers by bees.  English and Welsh honey are excellent.

Hors-d'Oeuvre Small side dishes served cold generally before the soup in order to create an appetite.  They usually consist of small amounts of fish, dressed cold vegetables and other dainty relishes.

Hovis Hovis is the registered name for a highly nutritious bread, in the manufacture a large proportion of the prepared wheat germ is used.
