 Barbecued Sweetcorn

So simple to cook, so fresh and so tasty.
Soak the covered sweetcorn in water for half an hour while the barbecue is heating up. Cook for 25 minutes and you have a delicious starter.

INGREDIENTS

1 sweetcorn with leaves 1 sweetcorn with leaves

Use the freshest sweetcorn you can get your hands on and don't remove any of the outer leaves.

If click on the left hand picture you'll se that we picked ours straight of our allotment.

Put the sweetcorn in a bucket of water for 30 minutes.


 
Put the sweetcorn on the barbecue and cook for 25 minutes. Turn it a couple of times to distribute the heat.

Don't worry about the outer turning black, the inner sweetcorn will not be affected. Cooking in the leaves seals in the natural flavours and goodness of the sweetcorn.


  
Peel off the outer leaves and you will discover the most tasty sweetcorn you have ever tasted.

No butter is needed, it would spoil the succulent flavour.
