A simple curry which can be prepared and cooked in 45 minutes. The ingredients are available in most shops without having to hunt for an Indian specialist shop. Tasty and it freezes very well.

An authentic curry recipe which uses lentils to thicken the sauce. Coriander, cumin and curry are the key spices. We cooked this curry in a slow cooker but it works just as well when cooked at a low heat on the hob.

These can be prepared and cooked in half an hour. They make a great side dish to any Indian meal. They are simple potato cubes fried in oil and a mixture of herbs and spices.

Serve them warm and you'll understand why they are eaten throughout India as a snack or for breakfast.

We show you how to cook perfect long grain rice. When you have done that, the right hand of the rice page shows you links to other more exotic rice dishes. From lemon and coriander rice to perfect sultana & almond rice.

CHICKEN BIRYANI
One of the most sumptuous of Indian dishes. This will take you 2 hours to cook and will challenge your culinary skills. But we promise you, the process will be enjoyable and the result beyond compare.

A British variant on Indian cuisine. Don't knock it though, this is a really tasty dish. Quick to prepare as well.
