Slice the spring onions diagonally as shown in the photo, it is certainly worth the effort as it does make the finished meal look very appetizing.

Cut the steak into very thin slices as it only needs a couple of minutes to cook.  We bought good quality thin sliced sirloin which which only needed trimming and cutting into strips.

Put the sliced steak, in a bowl with the cornflour,  Chinese 5-spice and soy sauce.  Mix well together and leave to marinate for 20 minutes.

Next thinly slice the red pepper as shown.

Heat the oil in the wok or a very large frying pan, add the steak, ginger and chopped garlic, stir well and fry for 4 minutes until golden brown.

Add the sliced peppers, bean sprouts and salad onions and stir fry for 2 minutes.

Stir in the red wine and water, then put a lid on the pan and allow it to steam for 1 minute.

Load your plate up with Thai fragrant rice and tons of stir fry, sit back and enjoy a wonderfully tasty meal.
