Slice the green pepper thinly, skin the tomatoes by putting them in boiling water for a few seconds. The skins will come then come off very easily then cut them into quarters as in the picture. quarter the skinned tomatoes.

Put the minced pork into the bowl and add the egg yolk, crushed garlic, ½ oz of the flour, breadcrumbs and salt and pepper.

Mix all the ingredients together well.

Form the mixture into 24 pork balls, then roll them in the rest of the flour, coating them well.

Add the oil to the frying pan then place the pork balls in and gently fry for 20 minutes, turning frequently until they are golden brown and cooked through.

Meanwhile, put the sugar, vinegar and soy sauce into a saucepan. Blend the cornflour with the water and add to the ingredients in the pan. Bring to the boil, stirring all the time to stop it burning.  Simmer gently for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Add the green peppers, tomatoes and tinned pineapple, mix well together and simmer for a further 5 minutes until the vegetables are well warmed through.

In a warmed serving dish put in the pork balls and cover with the sweet and sour sauce.
