Nutella Swirl Cupcake Recipe |
Nutella is a mixture of chocolate and nuts. A combination which makes
the perfect topping for cupcakes. Make the standard cupcake mixture then
top each cup cake with a dollop of Nutella. |

COOK'S NOTES
This recipe is a variation on the basic cupcake recipe. Make the mixture
as shown by clicking here, then
come back to this page to complete the Nutella swirl cupcakes.
INGREDIENTS
The ingredients are exactly the same as for the basic cupcakes plus one
jar of Nutella. The Nutella should be slightly warmed to allow it to be
drizzled over the cupcake mix. We spooned the Nutella onto a plate and
then put it on a pan of simmering water for five minutes.

METHOD
Pre-heat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas 4.

Gently spoon the mixture into the containers so that they
are about two thirds filled.
Drizzle about ¾ teaspoon of Nutella over the top of each cup
cake. Click the picture to enlarge it and see more clearly.
Place the cupcakes onto a cake baking tray and place in the
centre of the pre-heated oven for 18 minutes. |

Remove from the oven and drizzle another ¾ teaspoon of
Nutella over the top of each cupcake. Place a glace cherry or
walnut on each cupcake. |
