The basics are bacon and onion fried, with the butter beans added later.

Preparation

Finely chop the onions and garlic.
Roughly chop the bacon. |

Pour the olive oil into the frying pan and heat to medium-high. Add the
onions and bacon to the frying pan. Stir and turn the bacon and onions
frequently while cooking for about 15 minutes. The onions should be light
brown. |

Add the beans and paprika to the pan and cook for five more
minutes. Stir and turn the mixture frequently to stop it sticking to
the bottom of the pan. Have a taste and add salt and pepper as required. Serve
warm. This dish can be served with other tapas but is also ideal as a
starter. |
