Bacon and Banana Toasted Sandwich Recipe for the
Diablo

This is toasted sandwich making taken to its very best. It takes 10 minutes to prepare but it is worth every minute!

INGREDIENTS
Two slices of bread.
1 medium banana
4 slices streaky bacon
Small amount of butter or margarine

PORTIONS
The above makes one toasted sandwich for the Diablo sandwich toaster.

TIMINGS
Preparation takes about 10 minutes, cooking takes six minutes.

PREPARATION
Start frying the streaky bacon in a pan on a medium heat. Fry until the bacon is crispy, this takes about five minutes.

While the bacon is frying, peel the banana and mush is up in a bowl until becomes smooth and creamy.

Cut off four corners off the bread.

When the bacon is cooked, chop it into small pieces.

COOKING

Open and uncooked bacon and banana sandwich. Click the picture to enlarge it.

Spread a light coating of butter / margarine over one side of each slice of bread. Place one slice of bread in the Diablo (buttered side down) and add the chopped bacon. Pile on the banana and slightly firm it down.

Close the lid of the Diablo and cook on a medium heat (pre-heated by frying the bacon) for three minutes each side until the bread is toasted and golden brown.
