Apple, Cheese and Horseradish Sandwich Recipe for the Diablo |

Cheese based but with some sweetness provided by the ripe apples. The
addition of horseradish sauce gives this toasted sandwich a delicious boost. We recommend
this combination of ingredients highly.

INGREDIENTS
Two slices of white or brown bread.
Half a sweet desert apple.
60g / 2 oz of mature cheddar.
Half a teaspoon of horseradish.
PORTIONS
1 toasted sandwich.
TIMINGS
Allow about four minutes on each side depending on how hot the heat source is.
PREPARATION
Grate the cheese and finely slice half an apple.
Mix the cheese with half a teaspoon of horseradish.
Cut off four corners off each slice of the bread.
COOKING

Place one slice of bread in the Diablo snack make and gently firm it into place.
Place half the apple slices on the bread and then all the cheese / horseradish mix.
Place the other slice of bread over the top and clamp down the Diablo. Scrape
away the excess bread. Cook the Diablo sandwich for about four minutes each side. |
Turn frequently checking to see when both sides of the bread have been
toasted golden brown. Serve immediately.
